Episode Transcript
[00:00:01] Speaker A: There we go, people rolling in. Yeah, it's been a while since we've done one of these lives.
Just want to welcome everybody. If you are listening on the podcast, today's episode is going to be very visual. We're going to do the best we can to kind of still describe what it is that we're talking about. If you're. If you know our products, then it's going to probably make a little more sense than if you don't. But if you don't, we welcome you to come and check out our video that's going to be posted on YouTube after this. Live to come. Check out. So today we're going to go back to old school. So back in the day, kind of how the podcast originally started was that Nate and I would sit here and we would have some products in front of us, and we would just chat about those products. People would come in and give us some questions, and we'll kind of give tips and tricks with our products and that sort of thing. And then we're going to kind of tell you about some of the new stuff we have coming for you this week, and then we'll finish out with your other question.
I do.
[00:01:04] Speaker B: All right.
[00:01:04] Speaker A: I think it'd be pretty good.
So I wanted to get into.
I want to thank you guys, those who did leave us some questions. I posted on Instagram and asked for some questions. Thank you guys for believing those. And if anybody watching live has questions, good love for you to pop in. Thank you. Give us some questions. Yeah, so I know we had. Somebody said that Steven said, I've been waiting for this.
I'm glad you've been waiting for this. Glad you're here. And I would love to see if you have any questions or the reason you've been waiting for this is maybe you have a question or you've just been looking forward to.
Forward to doing this.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: He says, want it now or later?
[00:01:47] Speaker A: And send it, send it, send it. All right. So
[00:01:54] Speaker B: got a lot going on this week.
[00:01:55] Speaker A: We do. This has been. It's been a weird week.
When you came in this morning and we're like, yes. What are you doing for the. For the Wednesday podcast? I'm like, it's not Wednesday, it's Tuesday.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: Yeah, it's Wednesday.
[00:02:06] Speaker A: It's definitely Wednesday.
[00:02:07] Speaker B: Well, it makes you feel better. Last week I missed the Wednesday drop because Tuesday night you take the trash out, and Wednesday at like 5am they pick it up. So I missed it. So I made sure to get it this week, and I got a text that said, they're going to be a day behind, so they pick it up Thursday. So I'm the only one on the street with trash can out.
[00:02:22] Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta be that guy every now and then.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: Yeah, every now and then.
[00:02:24] Speaker A: That's me.
Well, yeah. Let's go through some of the questions I do have. So this first one ahead is what events are we going to this year? It's a great question. Beginning of the year. Here we are. We're kind of working on the events that we're doing this year as of right now. Planned and like, hey, or paid.
We are going. We're not going to a lot, but we are going to do Gun Con. Gun Con is going to be back here in the Cleveland area again this year and we will have more information on that. I'll probably have John on the podcast to talk about Gun Con as we get a little bit closer to that. But we'll be.
We'll be at Gun Con. Looking forward to that.
[00:03:04] Speaker B: It's always a good time.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: Always a good time.
And then Ohio range day in September, we will be at that. We'll have a shooting bay. I'm actually, this year I'm trying to move us onto the right side. Onto the right side. One of those bays like we used to be back in the day.
We've been down on the end, like at the very far end, which is great because we have a ton of room.
[00:03:27] Speaker B: Ton of room.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: Yeah, we have all the room really we could want, but we don't really have an.
We have a lot of room to shoot. We don't have a whole lot of room to move and. Yeah, and that's one of the things
[00:03:37] Speaker B: a little tricky when you have the full autos in the other base.
[00:03:40] Speaker A: Yeah, I'd love to get away from the full autos and everything, too. So I'm hoping to get us into one of the right bays and then we can actually have some.
Some depth to move instead of just left to right. I think it'd be fun to be able to.
Back in the day we used to. Like we used to have.
Yeah, we used to have a ton more room to.
A lot of moving the bed in that day, so. Hoping to do that. Ord. I'll be honest, it's probably my favorite event of the year.
[00:04:04] Speaker B: It's a good one. It's just the camping, the fellowship.
[00:04:08] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:04:08] Speaker B: The relaxing. I say the camping. Like the training's not the most important part, but right for us. Every year for the last two years now, we've camped set up hammocks. And this past year we camped both in our new rough country cab and
[00:04:21] Speaker A: the trucks and everything. Yeah, I look good. I look forward to. To. It's kind of just like a man camp.
Obviously there's a lot of women that come too, and the women crush it every year as well. I'm just over.
Yeah, I don't know. It's like a man camp for us because we're men and we just go to camp.
[00:04:37] Speaker B: It's a couple days. You get to hang with the guys. And it is. I mean, the industry is growing in the female aspect, but it's primarily a lot of guys that have been either repetitive students and return customers or new guys and girls coming in to train. But it's a lot of fun getting to see faces that we see once or twice a year or at events or shows where we'd love to hang out with them more often. But with everybody, even with your business and company, it's. It's hard to sometimes travel to all these events. So we have a lot of requests. So if you guys want to see us at an event, you want us to sponsor an event or any. Be a vendor or anything like that, send the emails in, you can send them to info atheneomag.com and we'll happily look at it. And if we can make it. That's part of the goal, is we want to be a part of the community more and more.
[00:05:23] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just.
[00:05:23] Speaker B: It's challenging.
[00:05:24] Speaker A: I wish. I'll be honest, I wish that we could. That we could go.
I wish I could. It's. It's. It's two things. Like, it is a schedule thing. A lot of us here are busy. We have families and vacations and stuff like that that we do, we try to do. And all this stuff's going on at the same time as what a lot of these events are going on.
So that, that already eliminates being able to go to some. And then also, I gotta be honest, just from a business aspect, the cost that goes into sending two to four of us out to go to one of these, whether we're flying or driving and then feeding multiple people and all this stuff, it's just.
[00:05:58] Speaker B: And we're. We're. We like becoming big boys.
[00:06:00] Speaker A: Yeah, we like to eat.
[00:06:01] Speaker B: We like to eat.
[00:06:02] Speaker A: So it's. It's a lot of work. It's a lot of money invested to go. Go to these. And. And a lot of these events aren't very big, which is a great thing. Actually.
I would rather if it's me as an attendee, I would actually love to go to event where there's 50 people,
[00:06:18] Speaker B: where it's not so large, you can't get lost and you get to meet everybody and the companies and learn about the problem.
[00:06:23] Speaker A: But as a business, you know, we have to think like what's the, what's the possible outreach here? Like, like am I spending $5,000 plus to reach 50 people or am I going to go to an event where there is 200 plus people which is already, like already is a 250260 or something like that. It's like just for the attendees.
[00:06:42] Speaker B: It's outgrowing the range. And Southington is huge.
[00:06:44] Speaker A: Southern is huge. So I know you are going to this Southeast range today.
[00:06:49] Speaker B: Yeah, so I will be going in June. I believe. I originally said it was May, so I thought it was this weekend. And then I'm going to Texas next weekend. I was like, oh gosh, it's gonna be long. Two weeks back to back. But June is Southeast range day in Atlanta and I'll be hosting a clinic for like a two, three hour portion on a bay. So we'll be running and gunning and doing some shooting. So I'm actually gonna bring some NeoMag gear on there.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll send some NeoMag set up everything.
[00:07:14] Speaker B: So we'll have NeoMag stuff set up for you guys when you come and shoot in my bay and hang out with me. I'll also have some neomag gears if you guys want to test it out, run it Running gun. That's what it's all about. So I'm excited about that one. Honestly, I'm kind of excited about the warm fact. I know it's slowly approaching here, but it's been so cold that I can go back to my southern roots for just a little bit and get some warm sunshine.
[00:07:34] Speaker A: I, I like I would still, there's a possibility that I come to that event. I would like to.
[00:07:39] Speaker B: You should. You should.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: I would like to come.
[00:07:41] Speaker B: There's another one we actually got an email about this morning.
[00:07:43] Speaker A: Yeah, I saw that.
That one sounds really cool too. We've never done anything like that before
[00:07:47] Speaker B: either with Night Vision 2. That'd be a lot of fun. So we are trying, we are working to get to as many events as possible. There's a lot of logistics behind it. And just like you said, running the business with a small team, we were full throttle. Some days I don't think we see each other but once or twice. Good morning. Goodbye in the afternoons.
But we're coming, we're attending.
[00:08:08] Speaker A: I absolutely love going to those events. I would rather do that beyond going to shot show and going to all these other shows, like actually getting out and be able to actually shoot and actually demonstrate our products on the range and get into.
I love at Ord when we have our own competition going.
I love being able to like on a fist bumping people all day long. It's just like. It's the most fun thing seeing people having fun and smiling and laughing and going and being challenged by our, our, you know, our event, our competition.
[00:08:45] Speaker B: And they kept coming back and they
[00:08:47] Speaker A: kept coming back because it was a
[00:08:49] Speaker B: challenging course of fire. You did good with setting it up.
[00:08:51] Speaker A: Yeah, that was fun.
[00:08:52] Speaker B: The faces, I mean, I had the opportunity to capture a lot of photos and. And people learning new about the new Gen 2, like from the Type G to now, the Gen 2, like the face drops, the capture in the moment was. It's pretty hilarious. I've got some really good photos of some that I probably shouldn't post to people because it might be a little embarrassed. Just the smiles across the board.
I do have a question.
I actually have two tibs. I'm going to let Greg read that one.
And then the second one is actually a really good question.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: Yeah, we're going to get to.
So I say the second one has to do with. With concealment and aliens, stuff like that. We're actually. Let me know when you're actually going to get it because the other. One of the other questions I have is. Is about this as well. So we're actually going to.
It's not in here. It was a DM that I got.
So we're going to get into alias and concealment and that sort of thing. And just actually just a quick moment here.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: So. Steven, I got you. I'll get that.
[00:09:44] Speaker A: Yeah, we're going to get. That's what we're probably going to spend the majority of our time today is talking about alias and setup and concealment. Everything that answer some of your questions on that.
All right, so some of the Q and A that I've also seen this past Friday, we launched what we're calling the micro Dump tray. I got a bunch of stuff in this. So I'm going to show you on the. So this is our micro dump tray. You can see I got like a little. I got some optic plates in here and I got my broadhead practice tip in here and I've got. I'm just little. Just tiny little things that normally if I throw it in my office desk drawer, it's going to get lost. If I put it on my EDC tray, it going to get stuck around the leather and stuff like that.
We came up with this little change tray years ago and I've had a different version of this with a little change tray. I use it all the time.
Then I was like let's try to add some more features to this than just a change tray. And people have been asking largely about, about wanting a phone stand because right, right now we kind of show a phone taking up the whole right side of the tray or on the mini EDC tray. It basically takes up the whole thing if you lay it down. So this essentially helps get your phone vertical and the tray opens up the section for your in the train tray and then it still opens up another spot in front of of that on the tray. Plus you can also use this as a standalone tray and it does fit. So you guys know I don't think we show this any of our content thus far, but it also fits in the mini tray if you wanted to put it in the mini tray. So there were some questions there on fitment and use case and stuff like that. So I did want to.
[00:11:35] Speaker B: And the AirPod Pro case fits perfectly in the dump tray.
It fits perfectly. So if you have the watch, the AirPods and the phone, everything's going to fit.
[00:11:45] Speaker A: Yeah. So you can see here I now have, if you guys are watching, I have our full size EDC tray. I have the watch stand amounted. I have a brass rod where a gun normally would go. Except for YouTube does not want us to touch guns. And then I've got the micro tray snuggly snuggled.
[00:12:04] Speaker B: Snuggled into.
Do you have another question about the microdump tray? Because if not I have one to help answer.
[00:12:12] Speaker A: One of the other things that I've been seeing on Instagram is about. It's about charging.
[00:12:16] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:12:16] Speaker A: Okay, so we had no quick answer is no, this does, this does not charge your phone. However, I took that into consideration when I was designing this.
So the posts on the back that helps prop your phone up are at a specific lengths so that it can work with a.
With what do you call it?
[00:12:39] Speaker B: Magnetic charger.
[00:12:39] Speaker A: Yeah, the magnetic charger that comes the magnets to the back of your iPhone. I think it's just an iPhone thing. The other phones don't really matter so I don't really care.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: Samsung people are weird.
[00:12:51] Speaker A: So this does work on like using a wired magnetic charger with this, you know this is one of those things where we, we actually had a wired wireless charging tray. We, we hid a, a wireless charging unit inside of the would be the right side of the large tray. And the problem that we ran into is like, I mean we are no huge company selling tens of thousands of trays. I'll be honest, we sell hundreds of trays, not tens of thousands of trays. So we're buying very low quantity of things. When you buy low quantity technology, you're going to get kind of low quality technology. And the only thing I could find that would work, that would fit was like a 5 watt charging. And frankly we had more returns on it than we had people keep it because it just wasn't charging fast enough for people. We are all used to a certain level of super speed of charging now and we were not able to develop to produce a product that kept with people's expectations. Therefore I'm not going to make it. So we discontinued that wireless tray. And now, now my goal is, okay, what can I make that will work with what you already have or what you can already buy? You know, like those, the magnetic charging things you can buy. It's like a two pack for 15 bucks or something on Amazon.
[00:14:15] Speaker B: And there's some pictures on the website if you're wanting to look at it and see how the magnetic charger sits on the back of it. There are some pictures of it with the micro dump tray.
[00:14:23] Speaker A: Yep. So actually here's what I like about about that. So let's say I have this tray sitting next to me. I have my phone propped up. I have the magnetic charger stuck on the back and my phone, my phone buzzes and I want to grab it and pick it up.
I don't have to unmagnet it from my phone stand. I don't have to pick it up off of a charger and stop it from charging in order to grab it real quick and answer back. Whatever. The nice thing about using one of these kind of magnet on wireless, not wireless, but it is sort of wireless wired magnetic chargers is that I can pick up my phone with it still on there and use my phone with it on there and then I can put it back and be good. So that's just some of the things that I like about that. So yeah, I figured that'd be one of the questions that you would.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: Oh yeah, I had that one.
[00:15:17] Speaker A: I'm seeing that a lot on, on Instagram.
[00:15:19] Speaker B: Then we get the question of oh, make it where it can charge or the tray should have a charging Spot. It's like we've had that, we've done that.
[00:15:25] Speaker A: Yeah, we did it. Didn't like it and.
[00:15:27] Speaker B: Or you didn't buy it.
[00:15:29] Speaker A: Yeah. And I spent years trying to track down. I was reaching out to these technology houses trying to figure out how I can get them and one they would ask you know how many, ten thousands at a time I'd be buying one. I just kind of chuckled like the no, I'm looking for, I don't know, can I buy like 25 at a time?
[00:15:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:49] Speaker A: This is, this is a highly, this is a high end custom solution. It's not a crazy mass made cheap solution. So hope that answers those questions. On the tray.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: And they're in multiple colors.
[00:16:06] Speaker A: Yes, we do have. So there's, there's kind of some news on this is that, is that we have the micro tray in four different colors and the phone stand posts actually match that.
And here's some news for you. To give you a little insight. We are going to move to Cerakote on the watch stands.
[00:16:29] Speaker B: I've been seeing the questions asking about it.
[00:16:31] Speaker A: Yeah. So we've had some. So right now they're anodized and the reason why I anodized them, I was trying to make it as cost. Affordable costs. Yeah, I was trying to make it as affordable as possible. Anodizing is much cheaper than Cerakoting but with that the finishes don't really, don't really match. People are like, you know the anodizer doesn't really match the Cerakote on the tray, this and that. And after seeing the micro dump tray Cerakote match and be able to match colors and stuff like that. I think doing that on there's just another. There's several reasons why we're going to move it that way. It probably is going to raise the price a bit on the, on the watch stand. It's just we go to a more expensive process. It's going to be a more expensive
[00:17:09] Speaker B: nature of the beast.
[00:17:10] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. If you want more I can give you more but it's going to cost
[00:17:14] Speaker B: more unless you do a small quantity then it's going to really cost a lot.
[00:17:18] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a lot.
So that'd be good.
[00:17:21] Speaker B: So the micro dump tray, the EDC tray, the EDC mini tray and the watch stand. Now in the future we all have different Cerakote color options and matching color.
[00:17:29] Speaker A: Yeah, they all match. And the cool thing, we already have different leather options on the watch stand.
[00:17:33] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:17:34] Speaker A: So but the cool thing is once these go to Once the watch stands go to Cerakote, you'll actually be able to match the Cerakote and the leather with it. Yeah, with it, it's gonna look.
[00:17:43] Speaker B: Size it completely as you want.
[00:17:44] Speaker A: It's gonna look. It's gonna look awesome.
[00:17:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:17:46] Speaker A: Great.
[00:17:46] Speaker B: It's cool.
[00:17:47] Speaker A: So seeing some people pop in on Facebook. Hello. Welcome, Sergio and Nixie.
All right, the other thing we want to let people know about is what we have coming Friday. You want to tell people what we have coming?
[00:18:02] Speaker B: Yeah. So we wanted to come out with another bundle for you guys this month to give you some deals and steals. So this month we actually have magpul slings bundled with the Sentry Strat. So it's going to be color coordinated. So unlike me, I'm not so much color coordinated. Except for today. I did a pretty good job. I'm all blue. I'm blue wd.
[00:18:22] Speaker A: Right.
[00:18:23] Speaker B: But we're going to have back to our bundle this Friday. This Friday we're going to launch the magpul Sling. Whichever color sling you choose is going to be the same color sentry strap. So we have four color sling options. We have it in gray, FDE Ranger green and black. And we also have the sentry straps that are being bundled with that specific color for you. And that's going to come out Friday, probably around lunchtime. I'm going to send out the email probably a little bit before we may put it live and then send out the posts and schedule everything. We just have to on the back end, get everything built out on the website, get the bundles prepped, get some photos for you guys.
[00:18:59] Speaker A: Expect it to be about, I don't know, 20% off, something like that. So we're going to save you guys some money on this. It is the, if you aren't Familiar, it's the Magpul S1 light sling.
We got a bunch of Magpul slings in to. To test and this is the one that we all kind of like the most.
So you know, it does not come with QD ends. So you can choose if you need QDs, you're going to. You're going to want to purchase those. If you use it with the rigs, then that's a good point. Then you could use one end you could use on the, on the rigs with just a paracord or a sling ring or something like that.
The other ends, depending on your stock, you either either going to need to use a QD or you can loop it through.
These do not come with QDNs. So just give you a heads up on that. But.
[00:19:46] Speaker B: And there is plenty of length on these slings. Like they are extremely long. So get the setting or the adjustment to where you want it and then cut it. That's what I did right before our podcast at lunchtime as I use the rigs and the sling ring instead of a QD mount. It's quiet, it's a simple attachment point. It holds and it's also got, you know, that grip and absorption of the heat when I'm shooting. So I set that up on the sling and then I just put it right through the stock itself.
[00:20:12] Speaker A: The nice thing about these one, there's many things I actually like about these slings. They're made in usa, which there's not a lot of slings out there that you could make that about. But the, the adjustment on this, they have like a injection molded piece that you grab for the adjustment. So you don't have any like, you know, any tethers or flaps or anything sticking out that you have to grab. You can actually just like grab the whole sling itself, the whole injection molded sling part. And just like, just like anything Magpul makes, you know, it's solid, you know, it's good, it's going to last a long time.
And when you pair that up with a American made sentry strap, hey, there you go. You've got, you've got a great little bundle. So, yes, those will be going up Friday. We do have certain limited quantity on those, on those slings in stock.
So, yeah, if you're looking for a sling, sentry strap and a good deal on it and do that. All right, let's get to alias and concealment. So I have, we have several different main questions that I kind of wanted to touch on. And I'd actually asked this fella on Instagram if he was gonna be able to join us.
See if he replied to me.
He's not replied to me, so I'll send him the link to this afterwards.
[00:21:28] Speaker B: I'm assuming these on the floor are gonna be potential.
[00:21:30] Speaker A: Yeah, potentially. So his question was this says, I have a Hunter Constantine belt and the alias. I'm having problems. He's having problems with it, with the printing.
Now anytime I get any questions on using the alias and printing, I really usually kind of have two main questions. The first one is, what is your holster setup? How do you have the alias clip on your holster?
Right, like how. Yeah, just kind of. What's your holster? How do you have the clip? What clip are you using that sort of Thing and then the other thing is like, what is your body type?
Yeah, right. Like there are things that we, we can control with our gear and there are things that I cannot control, which is your body type.
So he did, he did have a picture and I was going to show, you know, try to explain as good as I can on for you podcast listeners, but for you watchers. So this holster I'm holding here, this is a TXC holster, is their X1 Pro. And I have a bottom out alias bottom out with wing attached to it.
Now when I turn this holster sideways, you're gonna notice how looking from the top, the clip on this is actually recessed back into the holster. It is tucked back in. You can actually barely see the clip when I hold the holster sideways like this.
And what this does is that means when I clip it into a belt, the belt is actually going to be pretty flush with the front of the holster, which means it's going to be a nice low profile carry.
If you can see on this holster, there's also a slot on the very front outside of the holster.
A lot of holsters will do this. If you take this clip and I put it on the outside of the holster, I just pushed my holster clip a good, I don't know, half inch, maybe three quarters of an inch out.
So now my belt is going to be sticking way out from my holster instead of tucked up against it. So if you are having printing issues and I actually don't think this really has a whole lot to do with the Hunter Constantine belt. I think it's a great belt.
I do think there's a couple design things with it that the very pros of the design can also be a con, which is the Hunter Constantine belt is largely elastic except for a, I don't know, 12 inch, 18 inch section.
[00:23:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:58] Speaker A: And it's actually steel reinforced. It actually has a steel, a spring, steel plate inside of there that can flex and that's what your holster attaches to. But the downside to using a lot of elastic is that support, getting support from elastic is a lot harder than getting support from something rigid.
And so when you have mostly elastic on a boat, the only way you're going to get support from that belt is by tension is by tightening. And the more you tension and tighten down, the less comfortable it's going to be. And the more you're tightening, you're pulling something around your body and there can be some, there can be some discomfort with that. Whereas when you use a structured belt, that belt itself is holding up is holding your holster and it's helping conceal things and whatever. You generally don't have to have a structured belt super tight. You shouldn't have to in order to conceal.
So that. And this is also where body type comes in is certain body types are going to either help or hinder how a holster help hinder holster.
[00:25:07] Speaker B: That's almost a holster almost.
[00:25:10] Speaker A: So that's where like wedges come in. If you are, if you're holster. If you're gone and your holster is tipping out like it's kind of spilling out so you have a gut and your gut is pushing that holster out. That's where having a wedge or something that's going to help pull kick out the bottom the barrel end of the holster out.
So those are kind of some of the main things to be thinking about if you're having concealment issues. And honestly this is not just alias. This is just in general a lot of these problems that we see people having are not unique to the alias.
I would say one of the things that is unique to the alias is the holster clip location that I showed earlier.
Having the clip.
If at all possible, I like to have the holster clip mounted over the trigger guard section of the holster not mounted to the outside face of the holster. I did grab this holster to demonstrate where that is possible. And then we're going to transition to the other question we got.
This is a. I think it's an ANR design holster with a top mount holster clip. Alex on A and R calls it a T post because it is T shape.
This mounts to the top of your holster. And this is where you can still get a low profile holster and belt situation with a. With the clip that's. That is on more on the outside of your holster.
So. And this, this case is a little bit different. However I still even on Alex's holsters a lot of times I will still go to a bottom mouth with, with with wing on this holster. Just because I'd rather have the. The clip tucked back in. I just get a little bit more concealment, less hooping as people call it on that.
I do want to backtrack real quick. Just so I was talking when I was talking about Hunter's belt and the elastic and how rigid belt is going to help more. Some people are going to go well what about your beltless receiver? Yeah, yeah, right.
[00:27:16] Speaker B: I see it on the table. I was betting on you.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: So I thought about this question even before you guys asked it.
So our beltless receiver we use a. This is Called curve material for the structured part. It's about 12 inches long.
And we have a couple ultra clips on there. And then we have. Last year we. We brought out the bat strap, which you guys are loving. We can barely keep it in stock. We're getting as fast as we're shipping as fast we can get them.
Now, this is also not super supportive because it's just webbing.
However, what. What we have found is, and this is the reason why I still gave you a little bit of elastic stretch on here. I didn't feel like I needed to give 24 inches of elastic stretch. I felt like a couple inches of elastic stretch but still give you some of that movement that you guys are looking for.
But what we found is with testing is that with webbing, you don't have to keep pulling it tighter and tighter and tighter to get it tight to your body. It reaches that tension point way sooner than what, you know, the. What elastic does. So that's kind of the nature of this. Plus with the beltless with the Ulti clips on here over the backstrap with, with the Alt Eclipse is you're getting multiple points of connection.
And so that also helps support your gun and your holster when you're carrying as well. So just want to kind of point that out.
[00:28:38] Speaker B: And I know there's probably going to be some questions that's going to come back over time or we've had it over times, where the receiver is currently versus where it is normally when you receive the beltless. But another thing I want to point out for you guys too is if you have an alias receiver, which ours is actually located on the back, being that we're using a bottom out with a wing. If you have a receiver or you don't have a receiver, you can choose your beltless option. So if you have a standard holster clip, it can still clip over. If you have, say you have multiple holsters for multiple guns and you have one standard and one alias equipped the Alias with Beltless. With the receiver, you can still clip those standard clips over. But we did come out with a second version without the receiver giving you the option later to mount it on. If you so choose to switch over to the alias holster clips. But now you can utilize this with your standard holster clip, just in case you don't have some of our versions, bottom mount, top mount, or some of our other company holster clips.
[00:29:29] Speaker A: Yep. So just for those, especially those who are listening and not not able to see this, it's going to kind of talk real quickly about what Michael's referring to. So on this belt list that I have here, this is my personal one. I have the receiver mounted to the inside of the curve panel. When you get it, it's going to come mounted to the outside. And the reason I do this is because I on this TXC holster, this holster clip is actually so tucked back into the holster that when the receiver's on the outside, it actually won't reach over and click in. So I had to move it on the back side. That's how, that's how close that this mounts to the holster. And I kind of wish everybody could experience using the Alias with this style holster because the carry is just so low profile with it.
That's my preferred.
[00:30:15] Speaker B: Well, you can't say anything. We're working on that.
[00:30:18] Speaker A: We are working on that. We're going to have some options for you guys on that.
[00:30:22] Speaker B: All right, so I do have that question from earlier. It was. He said, I'm tired of going to church looking like a slob with an untucked shirt. Due to appendix carry. Have you considered a top mounted alias hook that would allow for tucking?
[00:30:35] Speaker A: So the plan right now. We do not have plans right now to have a, like a top mount that, that you can technically tuck. I did design back in the back when I first started this. I designed one and we, we tested it out. However, by the time you come, you go down and then you had. You have to make a U.
And then you come back up again, and then you have to go down again. You're making like an S shape.
The stack up on that was, was rather large. Way too much. It was, it was too deep. You guys would be complaining about how, how it doesn't conceal very well because it's, because it's sticking out so much. So I've actually, we've demoed this on a video before a couple videos. You 100% can tuck around the top mount.
I know you can't put your, put your shirt behind the clip like you can with the bottom out, but you 100% can tuck around it and kind of blouse your shirt around it.
I've done it before. I've carried it that way. There's no reason why you can't. It's not as, maybe not as clean as what it is on a bottom outfit.
[00:31:34] Speaker B: Right. And that's. Sometimes people argue, well, it's not perfectly tucked in and you still look like a slob. And it's, it's the ability with the top mount to kind of tuck that shirt in over. But Greg, you got to explain the bottom out and the capabilities of being able to tuck with a different style.
[00:31:49] Speaker A: Yeah. So what this question is also referring to is that and this holster, I have it tucked up really tight. So I'm not going to be able to tuck on this, on this holster. But if you imagine if I took this clip and I spaced out another, I don't know, 8th inch, I could put my shirt in behind this clip and I could actually tuck my shirt in around this holster. And then again, this is, this is one of the reasons why I designed the Alias was, was for ultimate concealability.
When I'm using a belt with a. I have it on the floor right there and grab that.
When I have a belt with a Alias receiver on it, I don't see any holster clip from the outside. I just have these two little bars of black on a black belt for the holster clip. So when I, when I'm tucking in and my shirt is tucked in behind this, behind the clip on the holster, I can tuck in. You don't see a thing. So.
[00:32:40] Speaker B: And you can even do it with the belt. Honestly, we've done it. Dress attire with jeans. Even if you're, you're wearing a belt or you're not wearing a belt or you're having a shirt tucked in, the beltless is a great option. I know it may add an extra layer if you're going to put a belt over top, but this conceals, tucks your shirt, no problem.
[00:32:58] Speaker A: I was reading some comments from. Coming in from Facebook here.
So Sergio says that he loves, he loves his. And he's talking about the beltless that he's not, he's not really had any issues with his. But if you want to buy the strap, it would definitely make it a. He uses the word aggressive and it was just this. Yeah, it all attaches to your body a lot more securely that way. So he uses a works holster. Werk KZ is how they spell it works. And he says no complaints with the Alias. With that holster, he's been promoted to all of his friends and family. Thank you. So awesome. Thanks.
So, yeah, just to answer your question, no top mount, a specific top mount, tuckable holster clip is not on the way. I've tried it. We just didn't. We couldn't find a design that worked well and concealed well. And if I can make something that works well but it doesn't conceal it doesn't really help us. So I'm not saying that maybe someday down the road, we don't have another solution. For that, I'm just looking at this holster. I think in order for that to work, I think we'd have to almost have a custom holster to work better that way.
That's possible down the road, I suppose, but it would have to be okay.
[00:34:22] Speaker B: What about those untuckable shirts that still look classy? Then you, problem solved.
[00:34:26] Speaker A: Oh, there you go.
[00:34:27] Speaker B: You get concealed, still have a button down, and it's just not as long.
[00:34:31] Speaker A: Right.
They make those now or you just go with a, with a more slobber look, I guess. I don't know. I never tuck in at church, but my church is very.
We're very conservative. Not conservative. We're very relaxed. Relax. Yeah, we're very much, you know, just come as you are.
I wear a hat most, most Sundays, even when I'm on stage.
We're pretty chill sort of thing. So French, French tuck.
So I think that was the, that was the main stuff that I want to talk about with Alias, just to, just to try to help with.
Uh, if you're, if you're experiencing hooping or, or concealment issues with Alias, it is usually the holster is usually the holster style and how the clip is attached to the holster. If it's not that, it's usually body type and, and just how you're concealing and that sort of thing.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: Um, and if you have questions, you guys can reach out to us, you can shoot us a message. But understand there are thousands upon thousands of holsters out there. So we are not going to know every single make and model holster that's on the market, what it looks like. So maybe to expedite the process, send us a picture of your holster and we might be able to give you a little bit more feedback with a link to the website for what you need. Because again, a lot of these holsters, this one, maybe not in particular, but it does have a wing. They're going to come with two plastic clips that clip onto your belt. You don't need two Alias holster clips. And I know there's a lot of confusion with that. Sometimes people that are new to Alias and just haven't learned all the ins and outs of it. So reach out to us. But again, if you have a holster or a problem, shoot us a picture of the holster and we'll be able to happily assist you guys. But we are definitely working on some things on the back end to bring and solve some more problems that we're seeing.
[00:36:22] Speaker A: Yeah, we, I mean, there's, there's, there's rarely ever a comment that I get where I don't, or I don't write it down or, or think, okay, yeah, this would be something that we should, we should work towards or, you know, if we're thinking about doing, doing an update on a product, that's when we go back and say, okay, what comments have we heard from people and their experience with this? And is it possible for us to address those things even if it's not? Like if we don't get a ton of them, if we can help anybody out, that we're happy to make changes to products to help people out. Because chances are, if we've heard from five of you, that means there's probably 50 that have had the same experience, but only five of you have actually reached out and told us.
Yeah. So I feel like we talked about a lot of products here. Talk about the tray and the micro tray.
[00:37:09] Speaker B: We talked about seracode options, the watch stand coming soon with seracode options.
[00:37:14] Speaker A: Yep. We talked about the new bundle coming that Friday. Friday.
[00:37:18] Speaker B: Different types of alias.
[00:37:19] Speaker A: Talked about alias concealment.
Sergio says IOA 100A and see no printing quality is top notch. I recommend to all of NeoMag products. Thank you.
[00:37:37] Speaker B: Awesome.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: Appreciate that. We are not paying him at all to be here saying these things. Just want to let you know what is that comment there?
[00:37:46] Speaker B: It's got to be face work.
[00:37:51] Speaker A: Oh, here's one. Well, if you have time here, understand if not about three times a month my alias managed to let go of the top mount clip. Maybe it's getting old age. So far been able to recover. That's. We do not want that to happen.
So I would say usually if I've seen this happen before.
Are you using the belt receiver with belt brackets? Can you just, if you can answer me that real quick.
What I've seen. This is a super rare thing. Like you said, it's happened just, just a couple of times what I've seen happen just every now. And actually I'll take the belt too.
The, the release, the safety on
[00:38:39] Speaker B: the
[00:38:39] Speaker A: receiver, you can actually switch which direction you want that to go. We have a video on our YouTube channel about it.
Yeah. Next belt.
Yeah. So he's using. So you're using the receiver with belt brackets. My question would be which direction is your. I'm going to come into the video on this. Which direction is your safety going?
And could it be any chance touching the belt buckle for those that are watching, if the safety. If I were to push this receiver over and it were to hit the buckle, could it push the safety over you have to release it. That would, that'd be one of my things. And if it is, you see this one, I had the safety going the correct way.
The safety is going away from the belt buckle. It's going towards it. Possibly it's pushed that, push that over to happen. If it's not that, then it could be a wear.
I think possibly even that is like insanely rare.
Here's what I'll say. If it's not the safety thing, if you don't think it's that, reach out, send an email to info theneomag.com Libby will probably ask for pictures of things and we'll try to diagnose what we can visually through pictures.
But again, just for kind of reminder to everybody on this Alias, all of our hard goods, all of our hard goods, NeoMag and Alias have a lifetime warranty on them.
It says I actually put my belt on. Weird. Starting at 9 o'. Clock. So very far away from the receiver.
Okay. So it's. So it's definitely not hitting the buckle. Interesting. So, yeah, send an email over to libby info neomag.com we will. the very least we'll just place it for you.
[00:40:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a lifetime warranty.
[00:40:30] Speaker A: That's lifetime warranty. That's what I was trying to get to. Yep. Yeah. So we have a lifetime warranty on all of our hard goods, neomag, alias, trays, anything that's metal, we have a lifetime wart on. So worst case scenario, first swap it out. Best case there for you.
We just swap it out. Sending new stuff. We might just try sending a new clip and maybe a new safety. You could swap stuff out. I don't know. I'm gonna let Libby, she's the pro at that.
[00:40:55] Speaker B: Yeah. Send it to. Send the email and we'll get you
[00:40:57] Speaker A: taken care of, help you out. So I appreciate you bringing that up because.
Yeah, we want to make sure that the holster is securely locked in until you don't want it to be.
So just a couple minutes left here.
Trying to remember my question. My would you rather.
[00:41:14] Speaker B: Yeah. What is your would you rather question?
[00:41:16] Speaker A: Would you rather have to sing everything that you would say you have to sing everything or everybody else in the world sings everything?
[00:41:28] Speaker B: Oh, it's terrible.
Neither one of is an option. I want to choose. Hey, you don't want to hear me sing. Even my shower voice is not a good.
[00:41:36] Speaker A: I hear you sing. You're in the office next to me.
[00:41:38] Speaker B: So that's Screamo too. So I should work on that. One and then B.
I don't know if I want anybody singing to me 24 7.
[00:41:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, you basically like, can I order something?
[00:41:50] Speaker B: And they're singing it back to you. Or if they're going to sing your name back to you.
[00:41:53] Speaker A: All communication that you hear.
[00:41:54] Speaker B: Oh, man.
[00:41:55] Speaker A: Is singing.
Like living in a.
[00:41:58] Speaker B: Live alone in the woods. I would go with that one.
[00:42:00] Speaker A: Like living in a musical.
[00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: No, just everybody constantly be singing.
[00:42:04] Speaker B: That would probably. If I did that long enough, it would probably be one of those moments. I could go into that silent chamber. You stay in there an hour, you get a million dollars. I would do it. I would win. Then I'm going to choose neither.
[00:42:17] Speaker A: Well, that's not an option. Have choose.
[00:42:19] Speaker B: It is an option.
[00:42:20] Speaker A: I think if I had to choose
[00:42:21] Speaker B: one, you'd be singing.
[00:42:23] Speaker A: I think I would sing only because I.
[00:42:24] Speaker B: You like to sing.
[00:42:25] Speaker A: Yeah, but I don't. I would not want to live in a world where everybody else is singing at all times, because, again, there are some voices you aren't going to want to hear. But I also don't want to. I would not want to hear singing all the way. I can control if I'm. If I'm talking or in this case, singing or not. If I don't want to hear singing, I just don't say anything.
[00:42:42] Speaker B: Well, now you have to sing to everybody the rest of the time.
[00:42:44] Speaker A: No, I don't have to.
[00:42:45] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. Would you rather you get to choose one or the other?
[00:42:48] Speaker A: This isn't like a realistic thing happening right now.
[00:42:50] Speaker B: Then I choose neither.
[00:42:51] Speaker A: You can't choose neither.
All right, if you're in the chat, let us know.
[00:42:55] Speaker B: Tib, he said live alone in the woods.
[00:42:58] Speaker A: That's a great answer.
Schizophrenia.
Billy, if you're still here, let us know.
Who else is there? Margie, I don't know if you're still here.
Would you rather live in a world where everybody sings to you or you sing to everybody else?
