If you'd like to go to our YouTube channel and check out the video to see all the visuals are talking about this week, I would recommend doing that. [00:01:14] Speaker A: What is going on, Everybody? [00:01:18] Speaker C: Everybody. The YouTubes will not let us go horizontal today for whatever reason. [00:01:22] Speaker A: Michael says he can hear us. Good, good, good. We have a candle burning behind you guys. [00:01:30] Speaker C: My dog ripped one right before we. [00:01:32] Speaker A: He left us a swampy environment. It was quite unfor. Unfortunate. [00:01:36] Speaker C: Open the window, lit a candle. Now I'm sitting on the couch with another man. [00:01:39] Speaker A: Now it's romantic. Luckily you guys can't see the candle. So what is going on? Yeah, everybody, happy Wednesday. [00:01:48] Speaker C: We do these. We do these lives once a month now. There's opportunities for us to take some time out of our week to stop and talk to you guys, answer questions. Maybe it's about our product, maybe our experiences with certain guns or gear or fashion advice. Fashion advice. I mean, clearly look at us. [00:02:10] Speaker A: I am the epitome of fashion. [00:02:12] Speaker C: We do do have a couple products sitting here ready to kind of show you guys. [00:02:18] Speaker A: Slash talk about, slash talk about. [00:02:21] Speaker C: So if you guys have any product questions, setup questions, anything like that, would love for you to put those in the comments. We'd love to answer those for you. Maybe we can kind of go ahead and talk about some of the customs we have sitting in front of us here. We really only have a couple left of each of these. We went kind custom heavy for like a couple weeks. Yeah, a couple weeks there. But we have Some really, really cool customs. So one of the, the first one that we did is this black sheen and I really think it's just, it's so hard to show this in real time. Yeah, I'm gonna grab the light. [00:02:59] Speaker A: Yeah, get it, get it in there. [00:03:01] Speaker C: Come up. [00:03:02] Speaker A: I will say I think Michael did a pretty good job. If you go to the custom shop, you should be able to see it pretty well. Yeah, I'm waiting for it to catch up. I think you can see it pretty well on the, on the custom shop photos page. But let's see here. Yeah, you can get it. So it's, it's a really neat tri color camo. It's a play on just different shades of black and gray that it just. Man, it just looks really good. So I actually this was done by Billy Brown of Make Ready Firearms. He did a few large trays, a few mini trays, some tack traps and a couple few neo mags. We actually only have like I think one tack trap left and then we've got a few neo mags left. Looking at the single pack trap we got left right there. [00:03:53] Speaker C: He actually did the inside of the tack trap. Like Billy is the king of details. [00:03:57] Speaker A: Yep. [00:03:59] Speaker C: And he even did on the inside. But the thing, the thing that makes this camo so cool is it's mostly matte except for like the blackest black. Yep. Has a, has more of a sheen to it. So it's not black multicam, but it's. I think it's very black multicam. [00:04:19] Speaker A: Yeah, it's very, very subtle. Like when I'm running around. Like I said, I got a pistol done by Billy in that black sheen and it's like from a distance you can't tell that there's a camo pattern until you get close. You're like, oh, wow, look, there's something going on with it. So it's super cool. It's really subtle. It's really classy. Sergio on here or Serg video. I'm sorry if I mispronounce your name. He's got one and he said it was super cool. So he likes it, which is awesome. Dude, I appreciate it. Please pray for the release of our civil rights activist, Chud the Builder. Not. No clue who Chud the Builder is. Hold on, let me do all messages in case I miss anything. Yeah. So that's our first one. Yep. And then we still have some of our May 4th. I got this one. We still have some of our May 4th. We've got some neomags. I didn't bring everything in. But we got the tack trap. So we went with this kind of patina Cerakote finish on here, and it gives you just like an industrial lower levels of Coruscant, you know, old Jedi Outpost type of look. And then we lasered in the Jedi logo on the NeoMag. It's on the side of the bracket tack trap. It's nice and centered. And then we've got the mini tray. The large tray is pretty much the same, or it is the same Cerakote pattern. And then on the large insert side, we have that engraved aluminum embossed section with the leather around it. I just think it turned out super duper cool. Our friends at Blown Deadline provided the Cerakote and then we came up with the design. [00:05:52] Speaker C: I've wanted to do that, that Cerakote for years. I've just been waiting for the right project to do it on. I love the idea of it's brand new and it's super durable. It's going to last a long time, but it looks a little aged. Ye. And I think Bloodline Deadline did it knocked out of the park where they didn't make it. Like, too, too grungy. [00:06:13] Speaker A: Yeah. No, it's like, it's like it's not [00:06:15] Speaker C: going to sit on your. On your counter. It's not going to look like you just have some hunk of rusty metal on your table. [00:06:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:22] Speaker C: But when you. When you come up close to it, you're like, oh, yeah, it does look like, you know, this has been around for 100 years and it's a little patina and stuff like that. So I love it. I think it's. It's probably one of my favorite that we've done in the past year. So. [00:06:39] Speaker A: W. Wow. Odin's all. [00:06:42] Speaker C: We got some. [00:06:43] Speaker A: He's all excited and not excited all at the same time. So I think we're just gonna move on from that. [00:06:49] Speaker C: Yes. [00:06:50] Speaker A: Mark. Airborne all the way. Good deal. [00:06:53] Speaker C: Sergio was waiting for belts. [00:06:55] Speaker A: Yes, they're all in order. They got put into production this week. And when I say all, I mean, I think almost every single size is in this reorder. Both types we're having. It'll be quite a few. So that is coming. [00:07:10] Speaker C: So cool. [00:07:15] Speaker A: Odin. Odin, I'm concerned for you, buddy. I'm really concerned. I hope you're okay. [00:07:20] Speaker C: Need to go touch grass. [00:07:22] Speaker A: Yeah, go lay in the grass. That'd probably help. [00:07:25] Speaker C: No smell of flour. [00:07:26] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, we could always send Rigby over, have him fart. That might be. [00:07:30] Speaker C: I bring it right Back down. [00:07:32] Speaker A: Stolen intelligence, man. He's just continues to go. [00:07:36] Speaker C: He's number one, though, with the I. [00:07:39] Speaker A: I we're gonna have. So you'd have to do it over there. Touch grass society. Yeah, yeah, go touch grass, man. [00:07:45] Speaker C: Yeah, it'll be better, Odin, if you have some product stuff that you would like to talk about. We're not really gonna get into politics, especially philosophy or philosophy today. Neither of us are really qualified for that, so. [00:07:58] Speaker A: Speak for yourself. [00:07:59] Speaker C: If you want to go find a. Oh, what's that? Social media chat website. Reddit. Go to Reddit. This seems like perfect Reddit fodder for all the extremely unhappy people. It's true that Frequent Reddit. Yep. Okay. Okay. [00:08:20] Speaker A: You just keep going, then we. Yep, man, let's. [00:08:26] Speaker C: Wow. You know what? [00:08:27] Speaker A: I don't know that, but I'm not on it. [00:08:29] Speaker C: Gives you a. [00:08:32] Speaker A: Yeah, you're gonna have to do it over there because that's Nate's channel, and Nate has no control over this. [00:08:38] Speaker C: I don't know that I'm gonn be able to. You could do it because everything's covered. [00:08:43] Speaker A: Whoa. [00:08:46] Speaker C: What is that? [00:08:47] Speaker A: Well, what's else going on, guys? What? What else have we got? So, like I said, we got some custom shops. What just happened? Oh, I just turned green. [00:08:57] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know what just happened. [00:08:59] Speaker A: It's like you drew all over the screen. I'm still kind of in it. I don't know. What did happen? [00:09:06] Speaker C: That's kind of like no idea. [00:09:08] Speaker A: Michael, what do you think of the beltless? Do you like? We're a big fan. The beltless with the bat strap I think is primo. Gives you all that support. I'm okay. I'm sorry. I'm getting distracted by my own self in the green screen. [00:09:27] Speaker C: Okay, there we go. [00:09:28] Speaker A: Back to normal. Good deal. But yeah. So the beltless with the bat strap is primo. How do you. What do you think of it with your sweatpants? Currently, Michael. And hey, how's the. How's the weather out in Nebraska? I don't know, Sergio. I would hope so, but I'm not sure. Beltless plus bat strap plus bodyguard. Today is peak. The bodyguard is pretty cool. It's pretty small. The only issue I have with. The background is on. Thanks, Sergio. Yeah. Only thing. [00:10:13] Speaker C: Only. [00:10:14] Speaker A: Only thing I have with the bodyguard is that after you shoot past 15 yards, it kind of does whatever. [00:10:18] Speaker C: It gets a little. It got better with the red dot. [00:10:22] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, but it's still not perfect. Oh, did we lose audio? [00:10:29] Speaker C: I don't know. Do we still Audio. [00:10:30] Speaker A: Hey, can you guys hear us? That's a real question. Can't tell. Yes, Michael. Michael says he can still hear us, so I think we're okay. [00:10:43] Speaker C: There we go. All right. Some menu came up. All right. [00:10:49] Speaker A: But anyways, yeah, the Bodyguard. It's pretty cool. It does feel like a toy gun when you pick it up, though. [00:10:55] Speaker C: Odin's in timeout for 24 hours. [00:10:56] Speaker A: Oh, is he? He's just gonna go sit in a corner. Let's hope that Odin goes touches some grass. Did, like, did we boot him from the stream? [00:11:04] Speaker C: Y. Yeah. [00:11:05] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:06] Speaker C: Like, he's. He's on. He's got quiet time for, like, 24 hours. [00:11:10] Speaker A: Listen, you know, he needs to go hang out with Thor and Loki and have a grand old time. [00:11:14] Speaker C: You know, it would be one thing if he was, like, wanted a conversation. [00:11:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And says. You mean as opposed to spamming. Spamming the chat. [00:11:21] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:11:22] Speaker A: So, hey, you know, he apparently doesn't like America, so that's fine. Super comfortable. Wore for 24 hours and had no issues. Nice, dude. [00:11:32] Speaker C: Yeah. Honestly, I. There are times I wear, like, I'm. I'll be wearing jeans and normal clothes and stuff, and I'll still choose the beltless because I think just it's easier sometimes. [00:11:42] Speaker A: Especially. [00:11:43] Speaker C: I don't know, let's be honest, if you're going to use a restroom and using the beltless with the. With the belt, you know, you don't have to figure out where to write your drum and stuff like that. It's. It stays attached to you. It's. Yeah, it's the best. Best option. [00:11:56] Speaker A: I mean, I. There's a couple of our customers that have made comments that they use like. Like what you just did use it without. Or jeans and stuff like that. And they prefer that method of carry because it's also deeper concealment, too. [00:12:09] Speaker C: Yeah. You just put everything over top of it. [00:12:10] Speaker A: I've. [00:12:11] Speaker C: I've actually worn, like, khakis and tucked my shirt in over the whole thing. The whole thing's tuckable. [00:12:16] Speaker A: Honestly, if you have something like the Bodyguard, that makes it even more disappeary. [00:12:27] Speaker C: I have a keychain. Yeah, keychain. Super, super handy, too. Super handy. Do I have that on? Nope. [00:12:36] Speaker A: My belt or my keys are in the other room. I think I've got one. Honestly, the thing that I like is just the magnet part of the keychain. Like, I don't really use the alias clip itself, mostly because I have the tack trap all the time. Not say the alias clip isn't useful, but I think the magnet is What I really like about our keychain, I think that's pretty cool. [00:12:52] Speaker C: So I had a little close call. So a little story time. So I was. I was just at. I was in New Jersey for a sporting clays competition. My golf cart while in there. And I have my keys for the golf cart on one of those keychains. [00:13:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:05] Speaker C: And so I took the keys and I just magnet it real quick, like to the tubing that the roof and the windshield, everything set to. I just. I wasn't sure I had so much stuff in my pockets and stuff already. So I just took it and I magnet. That's pretty neat. And I forgot, of course. And I had spent a little while looking for the key for the key. I don't know where I put them. [00:13:26] Speaker A: Well, I mean, if it makes you feel better, this morning I walked in with my coffee cup and I set it on a shelf. I'm like, I'm gonna grab this after I unlock this door. And then I walked away from it, leaving it there. And I spent the next 10 minutes looking for my coffee. [00:13:39] Speaker C: So it's even worse when you're holding the coffee cup and you're like, where, [00:13:42] Speaker A: where's my coffee cup? [00:13:43] Speaker C: Done that before. [00:13:44] Speaker A: I've. [00:13:44] Speaker C: Where I've been holding my phone and I'm looking for my phone. [00:13:48] Speaker A: You slept with the beltless [00:13:52] Speaker C: magical MAU. [00:13:53] Speaker A: Wow, that is dedication. So Michael, you probably have the Gen one. [00:14:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:03] Speaker A: Which by the way, still works with the beltless or the bat strap strap. You don't need to upgrade the whole assembly to use the bat strap. You can still use it on. On the. The V1 if you want to. My. My belt is at home with a bat strap. Is still on the V1 actually. [00:14:20] Speaker C: All right, let's show them some new stuff. [00:14:22] Speaker A: Well, start with old, old stuff. Like explain it. [00:14:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:27] Speaker A: And then we can show new. [00:14:28] Speaker C: Okay. So we came out last year with a mag base. And this is specifically for the STACC and CS magazine. And the reason I came up with this, I bought the gun and they had these extended mags, but there was no nothing to fill the gap in them. And with a 2011, you want to be really careful that you don't over insert the magazine with a slide back because you can bend the bar inside. So which is a bad thing because in competition you're doing a lot of slide back reloads. So I came up with this and this helped fill that gap. But while I was at it, I thought I'd also make it. It help conceal the magazine. Better in your pocket. So we actually have a recess here that you can see. The neomag fits inside of that recess nicely. Hopefully you can see that. They let me know if. [00:15:21] Speaker A: Yeah, you can see it really well. [00:15:23] Speaker C: All right. So it fits up inside of there, giving you more, more recess for the magazine to fit in your pockets. So with this I'm like, well, we need to start doing some more magazine bases. So we are going to be launching a brand new. Yeah, just right there, mag base. And this is for the 365. Now this is for a very specific scenario with a 365 and we have other ones coming. So if this one doesn't fit your your needs, we have other ones that will be. So this is going to be for the 17 round magazine going into your original 12 round 365 grip. So the very first 365, that short grip, those originally came with a 12 round and a 15 round magazine. Sig since then has discontinued the 15 round mag. That gun now comes with two 12 round mags. So if you want an extended magazine for that gun, your next best bet is to buy the 17 round magazine, which is what I have here. And then I drew up this mag base to go on this magazine to fit in that grip. So you now have, you can actually see the, the swell right here for your pinky to fit in there. I'd love to show this to you on the actual grip but YouTube gets weird about touching real guns. So you're not taking my word for it. And then we did the same thing with the recess in there. You can see this is going to be kind of flush with the top of the magazine but, but without it you'd actually be, it would be sticking up out of the pocket. So with it in there it's recessed a little bit more. That's about as deep as I could make the recess happen before the wing hits the hits of the top technically top of the mag base there. So these mag bases should be dropping this Friday. And then we have several more options for the 365 line coming out probably the next month or two. [00:17:28] Speaker A: Greg? [00:17:29] Speaker C: Yep. [00:17:29] Speaker A: Tiberius wanted to know, do we mean the 10 round P365 grip or the 12 round P365 Excel size grip? And I think I spoke wrong. I believe it is the 10 round because the original 365 was a 10 round grip. [00:17:43] Speaker C: I thought it was 12. I thought it was 12, 15, 17. [00:17:49] Speaker A: I think it's for the original 365 grip. [00:17:53] Speaker C: For the original. [00:17:54] Speaker A: So this is the shorty grip, whatever the shorty grip is. [00:18:00] Speaker C: Yeah, I thought it was 12, 15 and 17. [00:18:02] Speaker A: Yep, whatever. The shortest original 365 grip. Tim, you can clarify. You just did a whole video on. On 365s. It's the original grip, whatever the original grip was. This is for that grip with a 17 round mag. Whether it's 10 or 12, I don't know. But it's. It's really pretty nice. The. The. I'm really excited about the NEOM recess in it. It fills that empty gap. It gives it a little bit more [00:18:32] Speaker C: heft and it drops out of the magazine a little faster. That's a little bit. It's aluminum, so we machine this out of aluminum. So it's going to be a little bit heavier than the plastic one that comes. Because there is one that comes with the magazine to fill the gap. We're not doing anything new as far as filling the gun necessarily. [00:18:48] Speaker A: We are adding a little finger swell on the bottom though. [00:18:50] Speaker C: Yeah. So you get the finger swell, you get the. The recess for the neomag, which is also kind of acts as a grip strip for stripping the magazine. [00:19:02] Speaker A: Let's see. Michael McCoy. What's the Gen 2 beltless like? It's a lot like the Gen 1, except we narrowed the overall bar down to 1.5 inches. We made. Instead of it being offset one side or the other, we centered the receiver right in the middle and then gave hole options. So you can adjust from left to right as you want to. The ALTI clips are sent to you guys exactly how they're sent to us. So I don't know that they're. They're not heavily oiled, but I got [00:19:38] Speaker C: the OG here too. Okay. [00:19:41] Speaker A: But they, [00:19:47] Speaker C: they. [00:19:49] Speaker A: Yeah, so they do come to us slightly oiled, but not heavily. And we just take them from the bulk packaging. They're given to us by ulticlip clip and bolt them straight onto the belt list. So. [00:20:01] Speaker C: All right, so get your mic. [00:20:02] Speaker A: You took your mic off. Oh, and by the way, Tibbs said we did use the right verbiage. It is the 12 round grip. So we were right. It was confusing. [00:20:12] Speaker C: All right, so I'm just going to show both of you. So this is the. Technically V2. [00:20:18] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll call it V1. [00:20:19] Speaker C: Different material, but same idea. So this version we. We kind of set the. The receiver on it. So. And it was over. This is receiver only. This only worked with. With the Alias holster clips and we kind of set it one side so you had to have a left or right handed and that sort of thing. We also had to had these holes in here so you could, you could trim down. The new version like Nate said is one and a half inch. So you can actually clip your. Whatever holster you have over this. So you no longer have to use the alias obvious holster clip on this to work. You'll see the different holes here. I don't have a receiver on this one, but you can move the receiver. You kind of justify it left or right or centered. And then we evened out the holes here. If you want to. If you want to trim it down and make it shorter, you can. I really don't see people do that much anymore. [00:21:10] Speaker A: Nope. [00:21:12] Speaker C: After going this, going this route. [00:21:13] Speaker A: Well, yeah. Once we. Once we centered that receiver up, it seemed like everyone was pretty happy with the location of the Alt E clips for the most part part. [00:21:20] Speaker C: And we also last year came out with the bat strap which stands for beltless adjustable tension butler tension strap. Thank you. This does have some elastic on it for a little bit of comfort and give. It's very adjustable. I think it goes up to like 50 something, something like that out of the box. You can adjust it to whatever you want. And then it uses a Velcro adjustment strap. So this is a standalone thing. We. It does come with the Ulti clips, so I like to use both. I still like to use the Ulti clips and the belt. And the belt. Not the belt, the bat strap. Use them all together at once and it really just kind of locks everything into place. Very lightweight, very comfortable. [00:22:04] Speaker A: Yeah, it works out great. So anyways, Michael, in a really. It's a long version. I guess that's what the beltless V2 versus the original is. Mr. Pallet has some fun, fun comments. [00:22:16] Speaker C: I see that. Yeah. So that's the. [00:22:18] Speaker A: That's the beltless v1 versus the beltless v2. You can run the beltless if you want to do the bat strap. You can actually take off the Ulti clips if you're not inclined. I feel like the whole combo is the best between the. The two options. Just because it'll just keep it locked in like your pants don't move. Your beltless doesn't move everything about it. I think that's, that's my, my favorite way to run the bat strap. [00:22:45] Speaker C: Yeah, you definitely can use it without. [00:22:46] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. [00:22:47] Speaker C: Without the other clips. But I think when you do use it, it's just elevates the whole experience even more. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Yep. May not work for the California. Yeah. I. I don't know. I don't think we have any California compliant stuff here to test it with. Maybe that's something we need to look at in the future for the Sig [00:23:11] Speaker C: Mag base and that shouldn't really matter. So generally speaking our Magwell and everything. [00:23:17] Speaker A: Generally speaking Mag base, when California has really any of the capacity issue states what they typically do is just add a stopper into the mag itself. They don't usually change the mag body like design change too much so hopefully it should just work fine. [00:23:39] Speaker C: They'll sell out if you make a bottom finger extension for the ten round magazine like they saying. I thought I would be pretty sure that it's the 12 round magazine but there's a spacer in it. Yeah, we could be. [00:23:51] Speaker A: Might be wrong. [00:23:53] Speaker C: Hi Mr. Kwan. [00:23:54] Speaker A: Noriza. Sandy, hi, how are you? Oh and Jalen. Hi Jalen and Kim. Hope you guys are doing well. [00:24:02] Speaker C: The battery on your iPad is dropped. [00:24:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Yep. [00:24:04] Speaker C: Rapidly. [00:24:05] Speaker A: Well if we have to go to my. Go to a phone. We'll go to a phone. Yeah. [00:24:13] Speaker C: Let us know if you guys have [00:24:14] Speaker A: any more any other questions. [00:24:16] Speaker C: Questions set up stuff, product questions. [00:24:20] Speaker A: We, we are working on some cool stuff. We just actually were given gifted an idea for a new product today that it'll take a little time to work on but we think it's pretty cool. Potentially fairly is revolutionary the right word that could be. I would call it revolutionary which is exciting. We're excited to work with some partners on that one. That'll be pretty cool. What else we got? [00:24:48] Speaker C: He says it won't work. It has an extension on the bottom that goes into the grip. Yeah, I'll have to look at. [00:24:53] Speaker A: Okay, look at it for Canik models so we can say fairly definitively we'll continue to work on mag bas. I know Canik is popular. I don't think we actually have any cannocks here and I don't know, I know some folks that own them a couple but yeah, I mean I'm not going to say we're never going to [00:25:18] Speaker C: say no Canon but I can think of. [00:25:20] Speaker A: There's other options that'll probably come first but definitively we'll not say we'll never do that because if there's a demand and you guys want to it I think we'll take. We'll look into it for sure. [00:25:32] Speaker C: Yes. [00:25:33] Speaker A: But honestly as you guys go about and you're thinking about different models that you want product for, send us an email or use our contact form through the FAQ and just drop and let Us know. What models are you guys looking for? Because we may have ideas of what's popular and what people want, but you guys are ultimately the customer. So if you guys have thoughts of different models you want to see specific support for, please let us know. That way we can. Can actually do what you guys are looking for as opposed to just what we think is of value. Cool. [00:26:08] Speaker C: So should we get to the. Would you rather. [00:26:11] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, let's do a. Would you rather. All right, here we go. Hold on. Would you rather survive the apocalypse alone with unlimited supplies or survive with other people but constantly fight for resources? [00:26:31] Speaker C: You know, being alone, not having to [00:26:33] Speaker A: deal with other people sounds lovely. [00:26:36] Speaker C: Lovely. [00:26:37] Speaker A: Having unlimited resources also sounds lovely. [00:26:40] Speaker C: I don't got to worry about that. [00:26:41] Speaker A: Listen, that means I can have unlimited steak. What a. What a life. [00:26:45] Speaker C: That. [00:26:46] Speaker A: I'm sure that that's actually probably not [00:26:48] Speaker C: true, but those things sound lovely. Yeah. [00:26:49] Speaker A: However, being alone for a long time. [00:26:51] Speaker C: Being alone for who knows how long. [00:26:54] Speaker A: Maybe forever. Forever. [00:26:55] Speaker C: Survivor would, I think, would drive you insane. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, we've seen stuff like that in movies and that kind of stuff, exploring that concept. Like, what was that movie with Tom Hanks, Not Survivor. [00:27:09] Speaker C: There's a couple, like, survival shows that I like to watch. [00:27:13] Speaker A: Yep. [00:27:14] Speaker C: Where they take a person, they take different people, and they stick them. It's usually, like, in Alaska, and they're by themselves, and they have to survive by themselves. Now in this scenario, they have, like, they have no. Almost no resources, and they're alone. [00:27:29] Speaker A: We have at least one of those two things taken care of. [00:27:31] Speaker C: Yeah. But usually, like, 99% of the time, the people that bow out, especially the first half of the people, always because of being alone. [00:27:43] Speaker A: I mean, that would be hard. [00:27:44] Speaker C: They miss their family. They miss, like. [00:27:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, that would be hard. Like, isolation is wonderful in certain scenarios. Right. Like, I like to be alone. I enjoy it. But I do think there is a point where it's like, I haven't talked to anybody in forever. I've only got my own head to talk to. Which, again, why you watch movies and stuff like that. Again. What is that movie with Tom Hanks where he's straight on the island? [00:28:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I know what you're talking about. [00:28:07] Speaker A: Whatever it is, he's got Wilson. [00:28:08] Speaker C: Yeah. Draws a face on the. [00:28:09] Speaker A: Yeah. So he's got Wilson the volleyball. And then there's a show on Netflix called the Umbrella Academy, and one of the characters jumps essentially into the apocalypse. And his. His only company is a mannequin that he creates a personality for. And he walks around and talks to Castaway. Castaway. Thank you, Michael. Oh, Tolster. Tolster's jumping in. [00:28:39] Speaker C: Toaster is here. [00:28:40] Speaker A: Tiber said he depends on who he's with. Strength and numbers. Tolster just wants to go with. With Tiberius, if that's. If that's the deal, which that's cool. I would feel like I'm pretty awesome, Tolster. I mean, I think I'm pretty fantastic. [00:28:57] Speaker C: We're not going to take that comment personal at all. [00:28:59] Speaker A: It doesn't hurt my feelings. It's fine. Yeah, you know, I mean, I know I didn't get to visit you guys in Oklahoma because I didn't go, but, hey, I'm pretty fantastic. [00:29:09] Speaker C: So then the other option is you're [00:29:11] Speaker A: with people, but you're constantly fighting for [00:29:13] Speaker C: a resource, but you have. But you have hope for that. [00:29:15] Speaker A: Yeah. And on it, like, I don't know, I feel like I'm a pretty scroungy guy. Like, I can scrounge stuff, figure things out. And honestly. Well, here's the thing, like, unlimited resources is great, but there's some of those you may not know how to use, you know, I mean, like, I'm not an engineer. I know how to cook food, generally speaking, you know, make shelter and stuff like that. But, like, there's some stuff I just don't know how to do and hopefully people would help with that, you know, so there's actually. [00:29:43] Speaker C: There's another survival show. I like watching a survival show. Another one I watch where, where you can form teams, alliances and stuff like that. And the. And the teams that. That do kind of diversify, they have people that have different strengths. They have a hunter, they have the cooker, they have the builder that. Right. The fisherman, stuff like that. The ones that do that, those are the teams that always win. [00:30:02] Speaker A: Well, I mean, because you have. You've covered all your bases. Hey, I can build a shelter, but I have no idea how to hunt anything. It was like, oh, I can hunt, that's fine. But I'm not great at cooking, you know, like, yeah, you hit all that. You hit all your bases, like. And I think that's. That is actually on top of the psychological aspect is a huge part of. Of survival, is just having skill sets and no one's an expert. Expert, excuse me, at everything. [00:30:30] Speaker C: So I think that's the option I would go with. [00:30:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I'd probably go with that option. I like to say that I want to be alone again. [00:30:37] Speaker C: This being alone with unlimited resources. I think for a while it'd Be [00:30:41] Speaker A: awesome for a while. [00:30:42] Speaker C: Would it be amazing for. For a while? [00:30:44] Speaker A: But I think even the a while, it'd probably be, like, a good month. And then you're like, all right, I'm bored. [00:30:51] Speaker C: I also wonder which. [00:30:52] Speaker A: In. [00:30:52] Speaker C: In this scenario, I'm assuming that, like, everybody's just gone. Like, it's not like you have the option to just go, like, to not be alone anymore. Other people. And I think that's. That's usually the case. Lisa, on the show that I'm talking about is, they're like, I have a family waiting back. Like, they're back. I'm going back home to my family. [00:31:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:07] Speaker C: In this scenario, I'm assuming there's just nobody else to go back to. [00:31:10] Speaker A: So if I could. If. This is going to sound weird, but, like, if I could have an animal companion, I could probably survive a lot longer on my own. I still think there's a point where you're just like, I need human companionship because my dog Rex isn't talking to me. And that's. [00:31:24] Speaker C: I would find a bear cub. [00:31:25] Speaker A: A bear cub. [00:31:26] Speaker C: A bear cub. [00:31:27] Speaker A: And I would domesticate it. [00:31:28] Speaker C: Domesticate it. Can you think of anything better than A, for, like, a, A pet. B, security. [00:31:38] Speaker A: Well, pet, yes. I can think of better things than a bear. Oh, man. Dude, I don't think so. Sea otter or river otter? They're amazing. [00:31:46] Speaker C: Want to spoon with a bear? [00:31:48] Speaker A: I wouldn't be opposed to having a litter of otter sleep with me either. [00:31:51] Speaker C: Like, when it's cold, you just cuddle up with that bear. [00:31:53] Speaker A: Oh, that's true. [00:31:54] Speaker C: I'm going bear right up until he [00:31:56] Speaker A: rolls over in his sleep and crushes you. [00:31:58] Speaker C: That's a black bear, probably. [00:32:00] Speaker A: Oh, you're going specific. [00:32:01] Speaker C: Black bear could be grizzly. [00:32:04] Speaker A: Just saying. You're domesticating this. This bear. Well, here's the other thing. How do you get this bear cub away from its mom without getting your face ripped off? [00:32:12] Speaker C: I'm eating the mom. [00:32:13] Speaker A: Oh, you're shooting them up? [00:32:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so actually, I might have multiple. [00:32:18] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't know that that's gonna go well for you. [00:32:19] Speaker C: Never mind. [00:32:20] Speaker A: I don't think you're gonna win that scenario. Platypus, I would wear. Could I have a survival platypus? [00:32:25] Speaker C: I'd wear the. The moment Mom's Pelton skull. [00:32:29] Speaker A: And, yeah, my German chef. Yes, yes, yes. We all. Yes. I mean, we could bring Rigby along, and he would protect us with his gas. My dog Penny. She's awesome. She'd bark at everything. You know that'd be fantastic. But now we're in survival mode, so why don't we get something fun, unique. Why not? There's no you. What is it ASPCA to tell me how to. Or what I can and can't have anymore. There's no government telling me that I can't have a pet. I don't know. Name a weird animal like a platypus. Platypus. [00:33:04] Speaker C: All right. It's some endangered. What's the red panda? [00:33:10] Speaker A: I'm going to kidnap a red panda from a zoo. In the apocalypse scenario, that's what I'm gonna do. [00:33:15] Speaker C: The only thing that might be better than bear might is a lie. Yeah. [00:33:20] Speaker A: You know, I don't know of anybody that's domesticated. A lion, though. [00:33:23] Speaker C: I don't think I would sleep at night. [00:33:24] Speaker A: No. [00:33:25] Speaker C: With a lion. No. Even the bear. [00:33:28] Speaker A: I mean, the bear is really. You're really taking your. Your life in your own hands at that point. Yeah. [00:33:33] Speaker C: It'd be over pretty quickly if it did. If it went sideways, though. [00:33:36] Speaker A: A trained gorilla. [00:33:37] Speaker C: Ooh, gorilla. [00:33:39] Speaker A: Rip Harambe. [00:33:41] Speaker C: There was actually a. [00:33:42] Speaker A: Was there a question. [00:33:43] Speaker C: Good question. Asking about choosing ammo. Defensive ammo. [00:33:46] Speaker A: Well. [00:33:46] Speaker C: Oh, how do you go about choosing shiniest box? You probably haven't made that decision in probably 10 years. Long time. Ten years ago, they picked the best. [00:33:58] Speaker A: This is the funny part is that I actually have come to the realization that I need to shoot the defensive ammo I have and get new. Not because, you know, it's not necessarily bad, but, like, if you've used it a lot and that kind of stuff, there's some concerns with pressure and all that stuff. So I really need to get some new defensive ammo. But I decided a long time ago and it was mostly on availability, if I'm being honest with you, was on Hornady, Critical duty or critical defense. I don't remember which one it is, but that's what I decided on. It had good ballistic tests to back it and everything. It was. [00:34:35] Speaker C: There are. If you want to go like, I know people are kind of ride or die by the FBI tests, like the penetration test, stuff like that. So there are some metrics to go by that you can choose to go by. Who is a shiny Spocks? I want. [00:34:54] Speaker A: I want to. [00:34:54] Speaker C: I want to look like. [00:34:55] Speaker A: Although there's some cool. Like the box matte black. [00:34:58] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:34:58] Speaker A: Like with a shiny print on it. [00:35:01] Speaker C: No. [00:35:01] Speaker A: I mean. [00:35:01] Speaker C: But there's. [00:35:02] Speaker A: There's a bunch of good ammo. I mean, you. I don't know if you still do. You Used to carry spear, gold dot back in the day. I know a lot of people that carried that. There's a lot of good defensive ammos out there. But I would say put your research into it and look at it. Like what. Look at the ballistic tests. Kind of figure out what you. [00:35:19] Speaker C: I think like just kind of figure out where, where do you live? What are people. What's. Yeah, like what are people wearing that you might, might have to deal with. Shoot through. [00:35:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:29] Speaker C: Because there actually are some defensive ammos that I'd be a little worried about, you know, about the over penetration. One of the, One of the most wicked rounds that I've, I've seen firsthand is the Fort Scott tui. So it's a, it's a machined, solid brass, I think bullet. So it's not a hollow point, hollow brass. So the story I like to tell is I was at a vehicle defensive class actually with, with Rick and Achilles. At one point. Every vehicle class I've taken, we've. We've done this. At one point you stop and everybody shoots at the A pillar. [00:36:06] Speaker A: Right. [00:36:06] Speaker C: And you see, you know, like, you know, here's what the A pillar can stop and Everybody's shooting their nine and they're 40 and 45 and stuff like that. And it's stopping all of them. Well, I had some of this tui ammo and I shot it whiz through. Yeah, the A pillar like it just like butter. And there's a whole class of people there that would just do their draw drops. And what ammo was that? So that, that tui ammo is. It's wicked. I'm not sure what it does in a gel test. I'd be really curious to see. [00:36:35] Speaker A: I'd be concerned it would almost just zip through and not create a wound channel. [00:36:38] Speaker C: Well, from what I was saying, it, it's, it's, you know, like, you know, 2, 2, 3ammo. It's designed to tumble. Right. And that's, that's what this is designed to do is. Well, so it's designed to hit, hit and tumble. So I mean, if it zips through a pillars and then hits, you know, liquid stuff. [00:36:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:36:53] Speaker C: And then starts to tumble. That sounds like the, the perfect round. I would like to, I'd like to see what it does. [00:36:59] Speaker A: Other. Other concern is over penetration. [00:37:02] Speaker C: Exactly. So I will say when I got my bodyguard, I was concerned about getting enough penetration. [00:37:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:09] Speaker C: So I actually went to the tui. I'm like, I don't think I'm going to get over penetration. [00:37:12] Speaker A: Not with a 380. [00:37:13] Speaker C: Yeah, it was a 380 TUI. So that was. But that's actually why I went to that round and not, not to a hollow point because I was worried about, not about not getting enough penetration and, and, and the power to open the hollow point with a.380. [00:37:29] Speaker A: So Mr. I can't say his last name. Quanta or Sandy. That's a horrible way. I'm sure I mispronounced your name and I apologize. So ammo steel over brass. Steel is not bad ammo. I wouldn't use it for anything other than range stuff, you know, some range practice stuff. Brass, generally speaking, this is a general statement, is a better quality ammo than brass. Brass is usually using a more corrosive powder. It's gonna be more, it'll be harder on your, your firearms and that kind of stuff. But it's also going to be a lot more expensive, you know, than your, than your brass stuff. So absolutely use cheap ammo on the range. You know, get practice in with it. But carry good quality brass, you know, defensive ammo for, for whatever you're doing. I mean it's the same thing like for a rifle. You're not going to go to a precision class and bring steel ammo to a pre rifle class. You're going to go buy some nice 77 grain open tip, you know, match ammo or you know, whatever your flavor is. It's just depending on what you're trying to do. If you're just trying to run and gun on the range, just you know, kicks and giggles or minor training. [00:38:47] Speaker C: Steel's great and I would actually recommend there are some pretty cheap hollow point ammo you can get. Yeah, not a bad idea to shoot some of that cheap hollow point. It's going to be more than your range ammo. But just to make sure that your gun runs because yeah, they usually have [00:39:01] Speaker A: higher levels of powder and stuff like [00:39:03] Speaker C: that and feed ramps and everything like that, making sure you can feed your hollow points and stuff. It's a good idea to always shoot at least a couple rounds of the defensive amateur that you're actually carrying just [00:39:15] Speaker A: to make sure everything works. [00:39:16] Speaker C: Obviously you don't want to go do a range day with it. And that's where I think getting a couple hundred rounds of some cheap hollow point ammo is not a bad idea. [00:39:25] Speaker A: Yeah, the biggest issue with those hollow points is that flat face doesn't like to feed up the. Yeah, the ramp into your, your chamber. So something to keep in mind. [00:39:34] Speaker C: Yep. Tumbles upon, I think he's talking about the TUI ammo tumbles upon impact when hitting anything else. It punches through. Yeah, that. That ammo is super cool. I mean, it. It definitely gave me a good feeling about, you know, if I ever had to, like. Again, this scenario is wild to me, but if I ever had to, like, shoot through a car door, then to take somebody down. [00:40:03] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I would. I'm not gonna say it doesn't happen. [00:40:06] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:40:06] Speaker A: Honestly, it's one of those. Maybe the inside out car door situation. Like, how many. How many videos have we seen of road rage incidents where somebody approaches your vehicle? [00:40:17] Speaker C: Did you see the video of. I think it was a woman. All right, so, like, there was a kid on, like, electric bike. [00:40:27] Speaker A: Okay. [00:40:27] Speaker C: And the woman comes up on the drive on the sidewalk, and it's driving down the sidewalk trying to hit him. [00:40:32] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, I've seen that. [00:40:34] Speaker C: I'm like. I would have. [00:40:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:40:36] Speaker C: 100. [00:40:38] Speaker A: I mean, that's. That's. [00:40:39] Speaker C: Stop. [00:40:39] Speaker A: That intent with a deadly weapon. [00:40:41] Speaker C: I mean, I was driving down a sidewalk trying my kid on a bike. [00:40:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:40:45] Speaker C: Is. That's not anymore. [00:40:47] Speaker A: But, like, there's. There's even a video I watched not too long ago where a guy. Guy in a road rage scenario came up on the vehicle in front of him that he was angry at and was brandishing a firearm, and the guy inside the vehicle just popped up and shot him in the head. But I'm like, also, he could just pop through the car door if he's not too worried about it, you know, especially with that TUI stuff. [00:41:06] Speaker C: For sure. These guys are not a cop. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Oh, are you asking us? [00:41:10] Speaker C: I'm assuming I'm not a cop. [00:41:11] Speaker A: Don't take any of my advice for legal advice. No, I am not a cop. Never been cop. I'm friends with a lot of cops. [00:41:18] Speaker C: Yeah, we work closely with a lot of cops. [00:41:21] Speaker A: We work closely with a lot of cops. I'm trying to get to know my entire local law enforcement precinct. Yeah, I'm doing pretty well so far. I know quite a few of them. [00:41:31] Speaker C: We've trained with a lot of them. Yeah, that's what a cop would say. Only undercover cop would say that. [00:41:39] Speaker A: You have to tell me if you're [00:41:39] Speaker C: a cop, because I got to tell you, most of the cops I know love to tell you that. [00:41:43] Speaker A: That's true. That's true. I like that about them. [00:41:47] Speaker C: Hi, SF guys. Love to tell you that there is. [00:41:51] Speaker A: It's true. No, we. We work pretty. Pretty regularly with our local guys. In fact, I forgot to tell you this. They have some training coming up in September they want us to use as role players for. Oh, cool. So we might get to. We might get to get arrested again. [00:42:07] Speaker C: To get cops and throw in the back of a MRAP again. [00:42:12] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, 100%. If you. If you haven't gotten to know your local law enforcement guys, like. And I don't. I mean, don't go out of your way. Like, don't go to the precinct. Like, I want to meet all of you. That's kind of weird. But as you're going about your day, go introduce yourself to guys. We have the privilege of working with our local law enforcement for ordering products and helping them, you know, source some stuff. So we've had. We have a reason to introduce ourselves and get to know them a little bit better. But absolutely, it is hugely beneficial to know your law. Local law enforcement guys. I know a few of them well enough that I've texted them in scenarios that I'm concerned about and that kind of stuff. In fact, a few years ago there was an issue. My wife's a school teacher and there was an issue with a student. And I was texting back and forth with one of my cop friends that works in our community and he was helping me and how to approach it as well as being willing to continue to follow the investigation after it was complete in ways that I would not have normally had access to. And generally speaking, they're good people. It's worth getting to know them. Honestly. It's good for them to know there's also good people in their community. That helps them too. [00:43:22] Speaker C: I just wait with all the flock [00:43:24] Speaker A: cameras do that too for sure. I actually don't know where ours and Wadsworth are. I know we have them do it. Yep. I don't know where they're at. I'm not too worried about it. [00:43:35] Speaker C: Try to drive past them as fast as I can. That way they can't get a picture of me. [00:43:38] Speaker A: That's true. If. If you go. Go that fast. Yeah, you're fine. You're just a blur. White blur. [00:43:44] Speaker C: Good luck. Fine. [00:43:45] Speaker A: That's right. It's a mystery. Nobody will know. What kind of training do you do? I mean, mostly it's concealed carry engagement on target. For the most part. [00:43:59] Speaker C: Yeah. Mostly flat range stuff with our buddies. [00:44:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:44:02] Speaker C: Doing a lot of it is movement based. Like we're doing usps A type stages, stuff like that. We also have experience doing force on force. Some hand to hand. What else? [00:44:16] Speaker A: I mean, honestly. But like if we're going primarily, it's vehicle. [00:44:20] Speaker C: I mean, I'm just saying, like we, we have done a lot of things, but for the most, most part, it is, it's. It's range, working on, on accuracy, speed. [00:44:34] Speaker A: Tim, you're a bad influence. Thank you so much, Mr. Cool. I'm sorry, but I can't say your name. See, Mr. C. I appreciate you. Yeah, we've done first aid training. Actually, one of our. The most recent ones we did, which has been a couple years, was with. [00:44:55] Speaker C: Hey, Kenny. [00:44:57] Speaker A: Oh, shoot. Gary Davis of Dark Angel Medical. [00:45:02] Speaker C: That's been a couple years. [00:45:03] Speaker A: That was, I think it was like an eight hour class. It was really good. Absolutely useful to get in and get some medical classes done. Honestly, you don't even have to find something that's tactical. The reality is if you can find some good CPR training or you know, like Red Cross first aid training. That's huge. It's huge. [00:45:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Every time I, Every time I do a first aid class class, I'm always so thankful that I'm like, that was a great use of my time. [00:45:29] Speaker A: Yeah. I, I've never walked away from one of those saying, well, that was a waste. [00:45:32] Speaker C: No, I. That said, I don't. I probably don't do them enough because I feel like I learned that. I know it now. [00:45:39] Speaker A: That's. [00:45:39] Speaker C: I know it's not. I know it's a kind of a cop out. So it's something that would be a good idea to, to do once a year. Yeah, we've done stop the bleed stuff. [00:45:48] Speaker A: We've done. [00:45:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:45:50] Speaker A: Like, I don't, I don't expect to be any kind of paramedic on the scene, but I can. [00:45:53] Speaker C: I. I want to know enough to keep me or somebody al. Until real help gets there. [00:45:58] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:58] Speaker C: Like, I'm not trying to be a paramedic. I'm not trying to be anything crazy. I just want to know what to do to keep somebody alive for the five to 10 minutes. [00:46:08] Speaker A: Food for the soul. Any advice on what, Kenny? What are we looking for something else up here? You just said. Hey. [00:46:14] Speaker C: Hey. [00:46:15] Speaker A: So what, what kind of advice you're looking for, Kenny? Oh, yeah. Wilderness first respond responders are gonna be a great, a great one to go take. I mean, both of us, Both of us hunt are out in the. I mean, not boonies. Boonies. But. But we're out in the woods on a regular basis. [00:46:34] Speaker C: Inconvenient to get to us. [00:46:36] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:46:39] Speaker C: You always have. [00:46:40] Speaker A: I almost always have. I almost always have a tourniquet. If I don't have more than that I have a tourniquet, but honestly anymore when I go hunt, I usually have not like a full med pack, but, you know, it's of kind. Got compression gauze and quick clot and a tourniquet. Just a few odds and ends. Because I mean, my favorite place to hunt is in Pennsylvania and we have in fact run into bears. Like that's actually a real thing. My dad ran into a bear last year retrieving one of my deer. And you don't want to be without any medical supplies in the scenario you run into something that's bigger, meaner and tougher than you. I'm more. [00:47:18] Speaker C: Not that this stuff doesn't happen happen. [00:47:20] Speaker A: I'm probably more concerned. [00:47:21] Speaker C: So I. If I go mountain biking. Yeah, I usually have stuff with me too, and it's good. It's actually the live. The Creed pocket trauma kits. [00:47:30] Speaker A: Shout out. We have them on the website. [00:47:31] Speaker C: On the website. I. I have one of those, but I modified a little bit. I got some of the mini chest seals, put those in there. I shot corded a tourniquet to it. Everything else I think I basically kept as is. [00:47:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:47:46] Speaker C: But I have that. My mountain bike pack. I'll move it to my hunting pack. And because I'm actually. I'm more concerned with. You fall and you get. [00:47:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:47:57] Speaker C: Stabbed by something. Escaped by something. I've seen, especially mountain biking, I've seen that happen quite a bit. [00:48:02] Speaker A: That's legit. [00:48:03] Speaker C: If you're in a tree stand that doesn't climb trees. If I'm. No, I stand on the ground and I fall out of the tree. I get. I've seen guys get stabbed with their own arrow. Arrow with a broadhead or something like that. So there are. That's more the stuff that I'm. That I'm probably concerned about than getting attacked by something else. Not that it can't happen. [00:48:25] Speaker A: Kenny, we appreciate you too. What. What is it? What is some advice on general living for Kenny? Greg. Dad. Dad thought. Give him a dad thought. [00:48:36] Speaker C: I'll be open here. [00:48:38] Speaker A: Here. [00:48:38] Speaker C: It's been a little bit of a rough month or so. Like some health stuff, some business stuff that's been weird and stuff like that. There's been. There's been some challenging things. But the thing I've just been focusing on, like, actually, so I started to feel sorry, real sorry for myself last night. I'm like. I'm like, I. Gosh, I. I could really go for a win, you know, I told myself I could really go for a win. As I'm standing in my Home with my children and my wife, who made dad dinner and my dog and, you know, listen. [00:49:08] Speaker A: Your dog farts a lot. That's rough. [00:49:10] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, he's. He can be. He can be the, you know, like, [00:49:13] Speaker A: either make or break. [00:49:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:49:15] Speaker A: But I'm. [00:49:15] Speaker C: I'm standing in the midst of a bunch of blessings as I'm feeling sorry for myself for these. For these challenges that I'm going through. They're frankly, temporary. So one of the things I've just been. And again, this is less than 24 hours. Just kind of having in this thought as a reminder. But just focus on the good, because you are. We're all surrounded by good things. We all have good people. Good. We have good things around us, and so it's easy to focus on the hard things and forget about the good things that are around us. [00:49:49] Speaker A: When I was in my officer basic course, our instructional officer, who's in charge of my class, had something we were required to do every Friday or Sunday. I can't remember which. Doesn't matter. It was the end of the week, and he called it Hunt, the good stuff. And what we had to do is text him with three good things that happened that week, every single weekend. And his whole point of it, he's like, it doesn't have to be anything important. It doesn't. It could be that you had a good meal one day or that you had, I don't know, just a good 24 hours of feeling good. It didn't really matter. But his whole point was if we get so caught up in the bad things and never concentrate on the good, everything's just going to be awful all the time. I like to think about Hunt the good stuff. Same idea as what you're talking about is look at what's good around you and not bad again. It doesn't have to be huge wins. It doesn't have to be I got a new job or a raise or I was able to afford a new car. It could be as simple as, I got to eat every day this week, or I had a good night's sleep on Tuesday day when I don't normally, you know, or something like that. It just has to be simple things. Just figure out what's the three things that you want in this week that you want to think about. [00:51:06] Speaker C: So I had a. Like a daily journal, like a Bible study journal that I would go through, and it had. Every day was three things that you're thankful for every day. Yeah. [00:51:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:51:16] Speaker C: And I gotta tell you, after like a week, I'M sort of looking around the room going, I'm thankful for that rug. [00:51:24] Speaker A: Listen, I just don't have. It's not that I'm not thankful. I'm just running out of things to be thankful for. [00:51:28] Speaker C: My drink's cold. I'm thankful for a cold drink. [00:51:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:51:30] Speaker C: Black cup, thankful for black clip. But when you have to think about three things every day, it's a lot. It's a lot. But I'll tell you what makes you appreciate you can still do it. And, yeah, you, like. You dig deep and you're like, you know what? These things that I don't even think about, like a rug and my drink being cold, like, those things I normally don't even think about. [00:51:50] Speaker A: About now. [00:51:51] Speaker C: They're on my thankful list. [00:51:52] Speaker A: Yeah, that's great. [00:51:54] Speaker C: So, yeah, it's great exercise. Hunt for the good things. [00:51:57] Speaker A: Hunt for the good stuff. Real quick. We're gonna. I want to go back. Daniel asked about. Do we do any cognitive shooting exercises? I don't know that we regularly put cognitive shooting exercises into our training regimen. I do like, a good call out size and number, something like that. So you have to turn and look at a target and identify where to shoot. [00:52:18] Speaker C: This person should come to one of our ord. Yeah, yeah. [00:52:21] Speaker A: Ohio range day. We always do. [00:52:23] Speaker C: I've done some wild cognitive. [00:52:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Where it's like, hey, you have to find a color and a number and a shape all matched up. Good luck. [00:52:31] Speaker C: I've broken people's minds. Yeah. Right where it was. And I'm probably gonna get this wrong, but it was something like I spelled the color orange with red spray paint. [00:52:42] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [00:52:42] Speaker C: Remember that? [00:52:43] Speaker A: Yep, I do remember that. [00:52:44] Speaker C: So you had to. It was like, see the color, read the. Read the number or something like that. [00:52:52] Speaker A: And so enough that it was confusing. [00:52:54] Speaker C: So then I would do, like, all right, so if I spelled red with orange, I would go out and I would put a. Put an orange number. Yeah, like that. [00:53:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:01] Speaker C: So, yeah, it was just. [00:53:03] Speaker A: It was honestly, like. It was a fun drill, but it was absolutely hard to get through in the moment. It was a. [00:53:10] Speaker C: It was not, because I do, trust me, I love burning things down. I love just burning targets down and shooting fast. But I love drills that make you have to stop and think. And honestly, that's where, like, the best cognitive shooting you can do is go shoot a steel match or USPSA match or something. Yeah. [00:53:25] Speaker A: I mean, if you have a local range that does either one of those things, you actually have to stage, plan and the amount of times you'll get through the end of the thing, the range off. Say, you know, are you complete? You know, show me an empty chamber, put away your gun. [00:53:39] Speaker C: Stage planning, reload planning, backup planning. Because if you miss that, miss a couple of targets, then your reload has to change. And now that throws everything else off. Like. [00:53:49] Speaker A: Yeah, so that's. That's huge for helping all of that cognitive stuff. [00:53:52] Speaker C: Yeah. Don't. Don't just go to the range, set up a target and just blast away at. Or three targets and just blast away at them. Like, put some. Put some thought. [00:53:59] Speaker A: Well, I mean, and there, there. Let's be. Let's be clear. There is some value if you have a plan on a single target, if that's what you have an option for. [00:54:06] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:54:07] Speaker A: But if you have more space and can do more things, then force yourself to think through it. [00:54:11] Speaker C: Michael and I did a drill recently at the range, and I did kind of get this from. [00:54:16] Speaker A: From. [00:54:17] Speaker C: From a classic with Pat McNamara a decade ago. He had, like, 20 targets out there, each one with a different number, I think, spray painted on it. And he would call out. He'd call out a number, and there would be multiple twos and threes and fours, whatever. Yeah, he called out a number and he had to share those numbers, but he had them all so close together that. And you couldn't shoot through if you. If you shot through. You know, if you had hit four, you couldn't shoot through four and hit a number behind it. So you had to get the angles right in order to shoot the four without hitting targets behind it. So it was very much. No, there was more thug in it. So we just. We did something like that. So dye spray painted, like, some shapes and numbers with different colors. And so we would have our. Whatever back to it. And then we would take turns calling out, you know, red three, triangle or something like that. You have to turn around and find those. [00:55:09] Speaker A: See, any of those things are good for you. [00:55:11] Speaker C: Do that with as low as few as, like, three targets. [00:55:13] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:55:14] Speaker C: If you get six or eight or ten, it's better. But. Yeah. [00:55:16] Speaker A: Yeah, I think. [00:55:19] Speaker C: Michael, I just got out of the hospital from a mini stroke. [00:55:23] Speaker A: I'm glad you're okay, Michael. [00:55:24] Speaker C: Yeah, thank God. [00:55:25] Speaker A: I'm really sorry that that happened to you. We'll be praying about it. Yeah, that's a bummer. [00:55:31] Speaker C: But glad you're out and you're doing. [00:55:33] Speaker A: I'm glad you're on the live. Yeah, I'm really glad you're here on the live.
